Adelaide midfielder Hugh Greenwood wants a long-term contract to remain in Adelaide, although the Crows are reluctant to offer him one.

The 27-year-old has played 51 games for the Crows, and was a member of their grand final team in 2017.

However, with the mature-aged recruit now likely looking elsewhere for a new club, SEN SA's Kym Dillon believes Greenwood's management is asking for a contract worth at least $750,000.

“Greenwood wants to stay but wants four years,” Dillon told SEN SA’s Kymbo and the Rooch.

“He’s probably gone. They got him for nothing as a Category B rookie, same as Alex Keath.

“They’re happy to let him go at 27. They’d love him to stay but they’re not going to give him four years.

“I have categorically heard, categorically, it’s not too often I come out and say this is a fact, that his management are trying to shop him around for $750,000 on the basis of one good year.”

Dillon also spoke on the futures of Josh Jenkins and Eddie Betts, suggesting they'll both be elsewhere in 2020.

He believes Jenkins in particular won’t be at West Lakes again.

“Josh Jenkins and Eddie Betts are keen to go,” Dillon said.

“I think Eddie’s wife’s got a lot to do with that as well. She’d like to get back, she’s got best friends in Melbourne.

“I don’t think we’ll see Josh again. Now we know he fell out after being dropped. I think it could've been handled better.”
