Port Adelaide have stunningly announced their eighth and ninth re-signings in just three days, with highly-touted duo Zak Butters and Connor Rozee inking new deals.

The exciting pair will remain at Alberton until the end of the 2024 season, signing two-year extensions with the club.

Butters is quickly emerging as a household name in Port Adelaide's midfield, having been one of the club's best performers early last year before succumbing to injury.

The 21-year-old has played 48 games for the Power, first making his debut in 2019 against Melbourne.

Rozee, who like Butters joined the Power in the 2019 National Draft, has become a mainstay in Ken Hinkley's planning.

The 22-year-old claimed the club's leading goalkicker award in his first season with the club, booting 29 goals from 22 games.

Both Butters and Rozee have claimed spots in the 22under22 side and the Gavin Wanganeen Medal as Port Adelaide's best player under 21 in recent years as they stake their claim on the league.

โ€œZak and Connor bring an energy on and off the field that has become so important to our group,โ€ Port Adelaide list manager Jason Cripps said on the re-signings.

โ€œThey have also become young leaders who drive standards and bring others along with them around the club.

โ€œInjury interrupted Zakโ€™s 2021 season but he is set to continue his development by spending more time in the midfield this year and we expect Connor to do the same as he continues to grow his game.โ€

The pair of re-signings add to a bust week for Cripps, with the club having announced new deals for Dan Houston, Tom Clurey, Willem Drew, Ryan Burton, Josh Sinn, Dante Visentini and Ollie Lord this week.
