GWS have announced jumper numbers for eight new faces ahead of 2023, with their sole trade recruit and No.1 draft pick among the list.
After being traded from Melbourne through the October trade period, small forward Toby Bedford will pull on the No.14 jumper made vacant following Tim Taranto's departure to Richmond this off-season.
The Giants' draft class, headlined by top pick and gun GWV Rebels forward Aaron Cadman, join Bedford in beginning their new tenures in Sydney's west.
Cadman will pull on the No.5 jumper for GWS, a number that hasn't boded well for the club when you consider its past holders.
Dylan Shiel (2012-2018), Jye Caldwell (2019-2020) and Tanner Bruhn (2021-2022) have all departed the Giants for moves to Victoria after sporting the No.5 kit.
Fellow first-round selection Darcy Jones will pull on the No.2 jumper, replacing departed midfielder Jacob Hopper, while Giants Academy graduate Harry Rowston will take Matt De Boer's old number 24 locker.
Other recruits Max Gruzewski (No.35), Toby McMullin (31), Nick Madden (41) and Jason Gillbee (42) have also secured their jumper numbers for next season.
