GWS coach Adam Kingsley is left with a selection dilemma in his front half as the club prepares to battle West Coast on Sunday at ENGIE Stadium.

Impressive key forward Jake Riccardi has put his name into consideration following a dominant performance in the VFL last week, amassing 22 disposals, four clearances and a goal in difficult conditions.

Riccardi returned from his two-game suspension last week for his involvement in the infamous end-of-season function.

But who will he replace?

"He's tracking well," Kingsley said.

"He looks likely (to come in). He played pretty well in difficult conditions down in Blacktown. Got through training no problems today. Probably expect to see him back in.

"It's easy to say he'll be back but there'll be a discussion around who makes way for him.

"It's going to be a difficult call one way or the other."

Kingsley already ruled out Coleman medallist Jesse Hogan making way, leaving Jake Stringer, Lachlan Keeffe and youngster Aaron Cadman potentially on the chopping block.

"Every week is an opportunity for our players to grow, particularly our front half," Kingsley added.

"(Riccardi) has a lot of work to do to get himself up to speed. But there were plenty of good moments when he was able to win the ball in contest and burst out. He had three or four shots at goal. We'd like him to finish his work. And that will come.

"But it's more than just about Jake. It's about our front half. Being able to generate more inside 50s and a bigger score.

"I'd like to be more of a threat offensively, that's for sure."

Stringer was kept goalless in his club debut, while Cadman has slotted three majors so far in 2025.

Keeffe, who was the hero against Melbourne in Round 1, looks most likely to face the axe, given Riccardi's ability to pinch-hit in the ruck.

Fellow forwards Callum Brown and Toby McMullin were also brought into the extended squad.

Sunday's teams will be confirmed at 5:00pm (AEDT).
