Greater Western Sydney have secured the services of Adelaide great Ben Hart at Olympic Park to an assistant coaching role, working at the foot of the newly established head coach Adam Kingsley.
A worthy inductee into the hall of fame, the post career of Hart has been filled with jobs at the Adelaide Football club spanning across a decade, with a stint at Collingwood in between the stretch. Both positions had Hart second in charge before a short tenure to the Northern Bullants, where he sat at the helm of the VFL side before being poached by the Giants.
Jason McCartney, general manager of football at the Giants, expressed his gratitude to have the talents of Hart on hand in his team's colours, welcoming him with open arms in a club statement.

With one spot still left wide open on their coaching panel, talks are understood to be underway with Power assistant Brett Montgomery, as per AFL.com.au, with Kingsley circling on adding to his ranks after the pair previously crossed paths in their time at Port Adelaide.
The gap in the market came after the two assistants in Steve Johnson and Amon Buchanan walked out on their respective roles with a vacancy needing to be filled during the off-season period.
GWS managed six wins across the 2022 season, falling short of hopes of a higher finish, but with the appointment of Hart it sparks a fresh outlook with a new set of eyes overseeing the Sydney-based team heading into next year.
