GWS defender Lachie Ash has been hit with a $3000 fine after being charged with Rough Conduct by the AFL's Match Review Officer.
Ash gained scrutiny of the MRO following an incident from Sunday's match against Essendon at Marvel Stadium involving Bombers swingman Kyle Langford in the third quarter of the Giants' 13-point loss.
The incident in question was assessed by the MRO as Careless Conduct, Low Impact and High Contact, seeing Ash sanctioned with a $3000 fine.
Ash is able to reduce that fee to $2000 with an early plea, or can challenge the charge with the AFL Tribunal.
The Tribunal will sit this week following Tiger Tom Lynch's Rough Conduct charge on Bulldog Alex Keath, which will see the Richmond forward spend at least three weeks out of action through suspension.
Having escaped suspension, Ash will be able to face Hawthorn this Sunday for his side's Gather Round matchup in Norwood.
