GWS appears set to earn a giant addition ahead of the club's do-or-die final in Adelaide, with former skipper Stephen Coniglio set to return from injury.
The lifetime Giant missed his side's elimination final victory against St Kilda last Saturday afternoon after sustaining an eye injury during the week before watching the win with blurred vision.
Speaking by way of an official club statement, GWS' Head of Medical, James Rahme, stated that the Western Australian would be fit to face Port Adelaide in the City of Churches this Saturday.
“Unfortunately, Stephen got hit in the eye at training last week,” he said.
“Given the nature of these injuries, and that he was still having some issues with his eye, we opted to be cautious and rule him out of last week's game.
“He's progressing well and is on track to play this coming weekend.”
Coniglio and the Giants will do battle against Ken Hinkley's charges at the Adelaide Oval on Saturday night.
