GWS free agent Isaac Cumming has informed the Giants of his plans to move to South Australia this off-season.
Cumming falls under the unrestricted tag and can decide to move to the club of his choosing with no resistance from the Giants.
A move back to South Australia will see Cumming become the latest former first-round selection to depart the Giants for opportunities elsewhere, adding to a long line of key players leaving the New South Wales club.
A product of North Broken Hill, Cumming has family closer to Adelaide and has gained interest from both the Crows and Power this year.
The 26-year-old has told the Giants he wishes to play in SA, with his preferred landing spot not yet known.
Both Adelaide and Port Adelaide have shown reported interest in Cumming, who has played 81 games for GWS since being drafted with Pick 20 in the 2016 AFL Draft.
Cumming played just six games in 2024 due to multiple calf injuries, with the half-back/wingman featuring in both of the Giants' finals losses this September.
With Cumming's decision made, the Giants now brace for calls from fellow free agents Harry Perryman and Nick Haynes, with the latter expected to seek a move to Carlton come next month's signing window.
Perryman is another Giants player in the sights of Port Adelaide, while Hawthorn has also been linked to the unsigned utility.
A potential double coup of Cumming and Perryman could see the Power open up to parting with All-Australian defender Daniel Houston, who is reportedly seeking a return to his home state of Victoria this off-season.
The 2024 Free Agency window opens on Friday, October 4 and will run for seven days.
