Young Giant Xavier O'Halloran remains in contract limbo ahead of his side's expected busy trade period.
The Giants are set to see a host of players head out of the club, with Tim Taranto, Jacob Hopper, Tanner Bruhn and Bobby Hill all expected to be playing elsewhere in 2023.
O'Halloran remains without a deal for the 2023 season, with the Giants set to assess his situation at the conclusion of the trade period, per AFL Media.
The 22-year-old played 14 games, three of those as the starting substitute, for the Giants in 2022, averaging 10.2 disposals per match.

Despite O'Halloran reportedly being keen to remain in Sydney, some Victorian clubs are keeping an eye on his contract situation with the Giants, keen to bring the Victorian product back home.
Since being drafted with Pick 22 in 2018, the young Giant has played 33 total matches in orange and charcoal, failing to find a consistent spot within the starting side.
Both Taranto and Hopper are expected to land at Richmond, while Bruhn is set to head further south and join Geelong. Hill meanwhile, looks likely to be in black and white in 2023 after progressive talks between the Pies and Giants.
GWS are reportedly keen to offload players this trade period in order to ease pressure on their salary cap, while still hoping to improve on their 16th place finish in 2022 with new senior coach Adam Kingsley.
The AFL trade period kicks off on Monday, October 3, running until Wednesday, October 12.
