Newly-arrived West Coast midfielder Harley Reid has reportedly sustained hamstring awareness during an Eagles pre-season training session.

Just days after the Eagles swooped on Reid with the No. 1 overall draft selection, the Victorian ball-getter appears to be under an injury cloud.

According to Seven News reporter Ryan Daniels on Thursday, Reid had 'minor hamstring awareness' at the end of West Coast's Wednesday session.

However, Daniels also reported there's 'no injury concern', with the Eagles set to undergo their next training block on Friday at Lathlain.

The much-talked-about Reid figures to play a prominent part in West Coast's 2024 midfield operation, provided he remains healthy.

In addition to Harley, the Eagles drafted another Reid – Gippsland Power key forward Archer – as well as Clay Hall and Harvey Johnston.
