Hawthorn has re-signed young defender Kaiden Brand for a further two years, keeping the 22-year-old in brown and gold until the end of the 2018 season.
Brand made his debut in Round 7 this year, playing 11 games for the season.
“After struggling with a shoulder injury last season, Kaiden had a strong patch of AFL games this year,” Hawthorn’s recruiting and list manager Graham Wright said.
“We’ve been really happy with his progress and we think he could be a really important player for us long-term”.
Meanwhile, the club has also upgraded rookie Kade Stewart to the senior list for season 2017.
