Hawthorn will welcome back captain Ben McEvoy for Sunday's clash with the Crows.
The 32-year-old has been sidelined since Round 2 after suffering a fracture in his neck at training.
A 14-week stint on the sidelines has given McEvoy the time to recover from the setback, with the Hawks sure to be buoyed by his on-field presence.
“Ben’s dedication to get back on the field has been nothing short of inspirational,” Hawks football boss Rob McCartney said.
“Given the location of the injury in his neck, we did not want to take any risks in his recovery.
“Ben has worked incredibly hard in ticking off every box required of him, while showing great trust and patience in our medical team.
“Along with injecting some much-needed experience into our ruck stocks, we are also thrilled to have our captain back on the field.”
McEvoy's inclusion is sure to lift the lowered spirits at Bunjil Bagora, with Hawthorn having claimed just one win in their last 10 matches.
Sunday's bout with Adelaide firms as a strong chance for Sam Mitchell's side to snatch their fifth win of the year, welcoming the South Australian side to the MCG on Sunday.
Mitchell will be required to make multiple changes for the clash, with a shoulder injury to James Worpel ruling him out for the remainder of the season.
Young defender Lachie Bramble (back) will join Worpel on the sidelines for the rest of the club's 2022 campaign, with Mitchell confirming the news on Thursday.
Mitchell also confirmed that veteran forward Jack Gunston won't play this weekend after the recent passing of his father, Ray.
Young defender Will Day will also miss this week through suspension, opening up opportunities for another fledgling Hawk to make their case at senior level.
Pair Josh Ward and Finn Maginness may be offered a spot in Mitchell's side, while veteran Liam Shiels could hold his place after being named as the medical sub last week.
Hawthorn and Adelaide will clash at 3:20pm (AEST) on Sunday at Marvel Stadium.
