Small forward Tyler Brockman has reportedly told Hawthorn that he wishes to be traded home to Western Australian this off-season.
Brockman, 20, entered the 2023 seaosn without a deal to remain at Waverley, and according to reports from AFL Media, has expressed that a trade home would be for "family reasons".
At present, Brockman is the only currently listed Hawk caring for children, with the 20-year-old fathering young twins.
Despite the club's efforts, Brockman appears certain to depart this off-season after 26 games for 23 goals in brown and gold, however, neither the forward nor his management have expressed whether he would prefer to land at the Eagles or the Dockers.
Yet, as reported by 7News' Ryan Daniels, Brockman is said to have made "verbal agreement" to join Adam Simpson's ranks for the 2024 season.
Following the home-and-away season's completion last weekend, the Eagles are set to enter the trade period with the heavier of hands between the rivals, with the Lathlain club currently armed with picks 1, 19, 35, 38, 54, 57 and 75.
Over at Cockburn, the Dockers' list management team have selections 21, 40, 52, 58 and 79 at their disposal to make a deal.
Brockman - a Wembley Downs and Subiaco Colts product - began his two-season tenure as a Hawk after being drafted with the 46th pick of the 2020 AFL Draft
