Hawthorn has confirmed the extent of Harry Morrison's hamstring injury, stating that the much-improved winger will miss a month of pre-season training.
The club announced on Tuesday afternoon that the rising conduit would be sidelined for the next month, effectively ruling him out of Hawthorn's pair of pre-season fixtures.
Sam Mitchell's side will face Geelong at GMHBA Stadium in an unofficial hitout on Thursday, February 23 before playing host to Collingwood in Launceston on Thursday, March 2.
With over six weeks until Hawthorn is scheduled to face Essendon at the MCG in Round 1, Morrison has ample time to retune and return before the 2023 season starts in earnest.
The Hawks have already conceded they'll likely be without star forward Mitch Lewis to begin their 2023 campaign, with the key-position Hawk suffering a sprained ACL following a training mishap last week.
