Hawthorn small forward Pual Puopolo has signed a one-year contract extension.
Puopolo, who was already contracted for next season, has extended his stay at Waverley Park until the end of 2018.
“Paul has been a vital part of our side for a number of years now and we love what he brings to the team with his defensive as well as offensive actions,” Hawks' recruiting and list manager Graham Wright said.
“It’s a credit to Poppy that he has improved his game every year and developed into a vital part of our forward structure with his defensive pressure, ability to mark overhead for his size and crumb the ball inside 50.
“He’s an exciting player for us and we’re very happy he’s agreed to sign on until end of 2018.”
Puopolo has 130 goals in 130 games for Hawthorn since making his debut in 2011.
