Hawthorn have re-signed emerging ruckman Max Ramsden on a new two-year-deal, keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2025.

Ramsden joined the club in the 2022 mid-season draft, taken with Pick 6, but is yet to debut for the club.

The 202cm 19-year-old has impressed many at the Hawks with his athletic ability, while also delivering in his VFL performances, kicking four goals in a pre-season match last month.

Hawthorn National List and Recruiting Manager Mark McKenzie said the club was glad to see the "longer-term prospect" sign on, rewarding Ramsden's effort.

โ€œThis deal is great reward for effort for Max as he continues to work hard and develop his game,โ€ McKenzie said.

โ€œGiven Max's age and size, he is definitely a longer-term prospect for this footy club, however there is no ceiling on what he can achieve in the short-term. We're confident he can become a valuable ruck/forward in the near future.

โ€œMax is a very intelligent individual and likeable teammate and it's pleasing he's another one of our younger players who has bought in to the direction we are headed as a club.โ€
