Hawthorn have re-signed emerging ruckman Max Ramsden on a new two-year-deal, keeping him at the club until at least the end of 2025.

Ramsden joined the club in the 2022 mid-season draft, taken with Pick 6, but is yet to debut for the club.

The 202cm 19-year-old has impressed many at the Hawks with his athletic ability, while also delivering in his VFL performances, kicking four goals in a pre-season match last month.

Hawthorn National List and Recruiting Manager Mark McKenzie said the club was glad to see the "longer-term prospect" sign on, rewarding Ramsden's effort.

“This deal is great reward for effort for Max as he continues to work hard and develop his game,” McKenzie said.

“Given Max's age and size, he is definitely a longer-term prospect for this footy club, however there is no ceiling on what he can achieve in the short-term. We're confident he can become a valuable ruck/forward in the near future.

“Max is a very intelligent individual and likeable teammate and it's pleasing he's another one of our younger players who has bought in to the direction we are headed as a club.”
