Ricky Henderson has been rewarded for his career-best season in 2019.
The Hawks opted to keep the 31-year-old in brown and gold at least through the 2020 season.
After joining the club in 2017 as a delisted free agent, Henderson has gelled with the Hawks' playing style and this year took the fourth-most marks league wide.
Hawthorn GM of Football, Graham Wright, says the club is excited to see what Henderson can do with another year at the club.
“He took his game to another level in 2019 and made the wing position his own," Wright said.
“We’re looking forward to seeing what he can produce next year.”
