High-flying Pie isn’t going anywhere

Collingwood defender Jeremy Howe has been rewarded for an outstanding 2017 with a contract extension, with the soaring Magpie reworking his current deal to sign a three-year extension with the club.

Known for his ability to take marks well above the pack, Howe wanted to earn every dollar he made when joining Collingwood, taking less money than was on offer at other clubs to join Nathan Buckley's squad and has now done so, being named All-Australian for the first time in his career in 2017.

The defender has continually improved since making the move across the Melbourne Park premises, joining Collingwood's leadership group last season while taking strides in his questionable decision making, helping improve his disposal efficiency while continuing to excel in intercept marking.

Howe finished fourth in Collingwood's best and fairest in 2017.
