Ahead of next month's AFL National Draft, Elijah Tsatas is firmly in contention to be a top-five selection according to talent scouts.
The Oakleigh Chargers midfielder had an injury-interrupted season with a fractured foot keeping him on the sidelines for the TAC Cup campaign.
Despite the injury, the 187 cm onballer had an outstanding season averaging 33.8 disposals with his pairing alongside the highly rated George Wardlaw creating problems for opposition sides.
Speaking on SEN Breakfast on Thursday, Tsatas said he possesses a different set of midfield skills which is prevalent in today's modern midfielder.
"I'm a bit of a hybrid midfielder," Tsatas said.
"I can go inside and out, and I like to use my speed and kicking ability to break the game open.
"I also like to accumulate the ball a bit, so that's a bit about me."
With a deep draft which includes Will Ashcroft, his Oakleigh Chargers teammate George Wardlaw, WA key defender Harry Sheezel, and key forward Aaron Cadman, Tsatas said he is more than happy to be selected anywhere.
"I've obviously always wanted to be the number one pick," he said.
"Whichever way it falls, I'm just going to be really excited to have a crack next year."
When asked about where he would prefer to play his football, Tsatas said in Victoria, but is open to a move interstate.
"I'm definitely happy to play my footy wherever I get picked, it's obviously a National Draft," Tsatas said.
"I'm from Melbourne, I love Melbourne and I'd definitely prefer to stay in Melbourne.
"But wherever I get picked is where I'm going to play my footy and be all in."
This year's AFL National Draft will take place over two days on the 28th and 29th of November with the Pre-Season and Rookie Drafts taking place on the 30th.
