The Fremantle midfielder is currently awaiting clearance to return to the WAFL following a three-month sidelining from setbacks both on and off the field.
The Docker has been sidelined since suffering serious bruising to his left knee in Round 2, in the clash against Essendon.
What was hoped to be only a one or two week injury escalated into a three-month setback; but most of Hill's suspension came from his behaviour off-field in a run-in with police at a Scarborough nightspot.
During the incident, Hill broke the team's alcohol policy, and failed to inform the club until the media found out - subsequently stripping him of his place in the club's leadership group and handing him a one-month suspension as punishment.
The premiership midfielder will be able to return to Fremantle's senior side on July 7th if all goes to plan.
"He needs to play a game at Peel and we're hoping that that will be this week," coach Ross Lyon told Channel Seven.
"He hasn't quite been able to get that continuity he needed but he's heading in the right direction.
"The plan is when he's playing well and fit and available, to pick him like every other player, so there's no special circumstance."
The Dockers are set to take on the Lions at Optus Stadium on Sunday following a series of consecutive wins.
