Rory Lobb has not guaranteed that he will stay at Fremantle next season, admitting things still needed to be worked through between his management and the club.
According to recent reports, there has been specific interest from the Western Bulldogs and with Lobb's desire to move back to the east coast, a potential trade has been speculated.
Last off-season, the Fremantle forward almost made a return to GWS after seeking a potential move there.
However, a move back to New South Wales fell through, with Lobb remaining at the Dockers for this season with his current contract running through to 2023.
Lobb had an impressive performance in Fremantle's thrilling win over Port Adelaide on Sunday, kicking five goals and helping his team get across the line in a close win.
The Bulldogs may be looking to Lobb as a potential fit to pair alongside ruckman Tim English giving Luke Beveridge more versatility in his rotations.

When asked by 9 News Perth about his contract situation on Tuesday, Lobb remained tightlipped on where his future was pointing.
“Obviously I still have that year on my contract,” Lobb said.
“I don’t like to talk about up and coming years, I usually just focus on what’s happening throughout the year and right now it’s playing really good footy and trying to make finals and finishing as high as we can to give ourselves the best chance of winning a premiership.
“We’ll have to see. There’s a few things we’ve been working through.
“I’ve really been enjoying my footy this year. Injury-free so far touchwood. We’ll need to see what happens at the end of the year and right now it‘s just focusing on finals.”
Lobb has not ended doubts about his future at the Dockers past this season but after a close win against the Power on Sunday and a current top four spot on the ladder, there is a sense of opportunity building for the club going into September.
Fremantle and Lobb will return to Melbourne to play St Kilda at Marvel Stadium on Saturday Night, commencing at 7:25 AEST.
