Both West Coast and Collingwood have been ravaged by injuries during their Sunday afternoon clash at Marvel Stadium.

Eagle speedster Jack Petrucelle was subbed out after tweaking an ankle, while Jeremy McGoven left the field after falling heavily on his ribs during the third quarter.

Fox Footy has reported that McGovern has been sent to hospital with "internal injuries".

Unfortunately the Pies have been hit harder, with youngster Harvey Harrison limping to the bench early in the match with an ankle sprain before star veteran Jeremy Howe was subbed out with a groin injury.

AFL.com's Josh Gabelich has reported Jeremy will miss one or two weeks with an adductor strain.

Substitute Jack Bytel was injected into the match for his first game in Collingwood colours but was soon forced out after suffering a concussion, continuing a horror run of luck for the former Saint.

The match adds to an already shocking tally of Round nine injuries - Adam Cerra, Marc Pittonet, Nick Blakey, Sam Banks, Maurice Rioli Jnr, Jack Graham all suffering blows in their respective matches.

Collingwood will move into the top eight for the first time this season with their 66-point win over West Coast (103 v 37), while the Eagles drop to 16th on the ladder.
