A dislocated thumb has abruptly ended young Adelaide defender Max Michalanney's intra-club session on Friday evening.
Michalanney hurt his hand in the opening term of the hitout at Point Pirie and was ruled out of continuing in the contest as the Crows monitor the ailment further.
The third-year Crow had started the session strongly but came from the field with the issue before the Crows confirmed his part in the match was over.
Max Michalanney has dislocated his thumb and will take no further part in the Internal Trial.

Adelaide will be hopeful the setback won't eat into Michalanney's chances of playing in next week's pre-season clash against Port Adelaide at Mt Barker, while the Crows have a following practice match against Brisbane for the Community Series on February 27.
The pair of pre-season tune-ups will lead the club into Round 1 when the Crows face St Kilda at Adelaide Oval to start their 2025 home and away campaign.
Michalanney looms as an important cog in Matthew Nicks' plans for the campaign ahead, having only missed one game in his two seasons at West Lakes to tally 45 career games for the club.
Adelaide are already without fringe ruckman Kieran Strachan for the start of the season due to a foot injury that required surgery, with ex-Sydney tall Lachlan McAndrew training with the Crows in his place.
McAndrew featured in the intra-club to battle with incumbent ruckman Reilly O'Brien, looking to impress in the hope of securing a second chance in the AFL despite the Crows not having a vacant list spot.
New recruit James Peatling and young forward Josh Rachele were among the Crows to impress early into the intra-club session on Friday, with the latter booting three goals before half-time.
