A hip issue for West Coast recruit Jack Graham has forced the Eagles into an early squad change for Sunday's clash with Brisbane.

The Western Australian club has confirmed Graham won't suit up against the Lions at the Gabba due to the injury concern.

The forced change has seen young midfielder Clay Hall come into Andrew McQualter's side.

The Eagles have elevated Hall into their 23-man squad despite the young onballer not initially being named as an emergency.

West Coast will keep Harvey Johnston, Matthew Flynn and Bo Allan as emergencies on standby for Sunday's game.

Graham was one of the Eagles' best in last week's heavy loss to Gold Coast, recording 23 disposals, 10 tackles and five inside 50s in his West Coast debut.

The Eagles made three earlier changes for their Round 2 side, with Jake Waterman (back/calf) and Jack Hutchinson (hamstring) pulled from the team that lost to the Suns due to injury, while Flynn was omitted.

Jack Petruccelle, Liam Ryan and Bailey Williams were named as inclusions for McQualter's Round 2 side, with Hall now joining them.

West Coast will name their final 23-man side an hour prior to Sunday's 1:10pm (AEDT) bounce.
