Adelaide midfielder Brad Crouch is one of many players whose future remains clouded after this season.
Crouch, who attracted interest from Gold coast last year, is currently out of contract and will be an unrestricted free agent at season's end.
Given where Adelaide's list is currently at, former Port Adelaide star Kane Cornes has wondered whether the Crows should move on from Crouch.
“We know he (Crouch) shopped himself around at the end of last year,” Cornes told SEN's Footy SA and WA.
“Adelaide are in the situation where they are not going to challenge in his prime. He’s 26 years of age, (the) Crows aren’t going to be around the mark you would think for four-to-five years.
“Are they better off moving him on and getting an elite draft pick for him and continuing the rebuild, and see Brad join a club that needs a midfielder, like a Carlton, North Melbourne or St Kilda.”
Former St Kilda coach Scott Watters feels Crouch is on "shaky ground"
“I can’t see them (Adelaide) being in the premiership hunt this year,” Watters said.
“I think he is on shaky ground at the moment. He’s not as pivotal as a Josh Kennedy (West Coast) to their structure. I think that makes him a little bit vulnerable.”
Crouch had a career best season in 2019, averaging over 30 disposals a game and winning his first best and fairest award.
