Ben Jarman, son of former Adelaide champion Darren, says any club will do, following his snub from the Crows.
Adelaide chose not to nominate Jarman as a father-son selection ahead of tonight's draft, meaning he is on the open market to any club.
The youngster said that while he is disappointed about being overlooked, he is now just nervously waiting to hear if his name is called on draft night like any other player.
“The Crows’ decision was a little bit disappointing for me but now I’m not really bothered by it,’’ he said.
“There’s no priority pick for me now so I’m just like any other player in the draft who has a dream of just being picked up somewhere. Any club will do because all I want to do is play AFL footy.
“It’s been a nervous week but now I’m just really looking forward to seeing what happens at the draft.
“There’s been interest from a few clubs, which has been a positive, so hopefully I get an opportunity. It would mean a lot because I have been working towards this draft for a long time.
“Hopefully things work out but if they don’t I’ll just go back to North Adelaide and keep having a crack at it.’’
Darren Jarman played 121 games for Adelaide between 1996 and 2001, winning premierships in 1997 and 1998.
There are three father-son prospects set to be recruited on the night, with Callum Brown and Josh Daicos both nominated by Collingwood, while West Coast has nominated Jake Waterman.
