“Scott received a heavy knee to the groin. He’s fairly sore early this week,” Hass said.
“We’ll need to fitness test him and assess him for his availability in round one of the SANFL.”
Adelaide forward Josh Jenkins hasn't been ruled out of the Crows' massive clash with Port Adelaide on Saturday night, and instead will face a midweek fitness test to determine his availability.
Jenkins suffered bruised ribs in a first quarter collision against Hawthorn last weekend and was immediately taken to hospital following the incident.
“Josh is quite sore, but thankfully (has been) cleared of any structural or internal damage,” Crows general manager of high performance Matt Hass told afc.com.au.
“He’ll train later in the week.
"We’ll fitness test him and assess his availability for the Port match.”
While Jenkins is touch-and-go for the Showdown, midfielder Brad Crouch will play his first match of the season, but will feature in the SANFL as he nears full fitness.
Fellow midfielder and Crows veteran Scott Thompson is under another injury cloud, after picking up a groin injury is last weekend's SANFL trial.
“Scott received a heavy knee to the groin. He’s fairly sore early this week,” Hass said.
“We’ll need to fitness test him and assess him for his availability in round one of the SANFL.”
