Footy returned for 2017 last night, with Collingwood running out 11-point winners over Essendon in the first game of the annual pre-season competition.
The game saw seven of the 10 Bombers' players returning from suspension take to the field, while new Collingwood recruits, Will Hoskin-Elliot and Lynden Dunn make their debuts in black and white, as did father-son draftee, Josh Daicos.
Jordan De Goey topped the SuperCoach scores for the match, finishing with 129 points after collecting 22 disposals and two goals.
Orazio Fantasia top scored for Essendon with 118 points. He finished with four goals and 12 disposals.
