Sydney's head of football and former Geelong premiership captain Tom Harley says that defender Alex Johnson could still continue his career after likely suffering a sixth ACL injury on Sunday.
Speaking on SEN, Harley said Johnson and the club will sit down and come to a decision together when the time is right.
"He needs to make a decision first and foremost as to how he’s going to attack it, clearly it’s at least a 12-month rehab, he’s done that before," Harley told SEN Breakfast.
"He’ll answer those questions himself first and foremost and then at the right time we’ll sit down as a club," Harley said.
Harley added that he believes Johnson's resilience could see him try to continue his 47 game career.
"If I know him at all, I reckon he will have a crack at it, we just need to work our way through that respectfully and in the right time," he said.
