AFL House in Melbourne was evacuated earlier this morning after receiving what is believed to be a hoax threat via a phone call to the building on Thursday morning.
All staff were evacuated while Police conducted safety checks of the premises.
Staff left League HQ at around 12.20pm and were forced to wait outside the building for just over an hour while checks were being undertaken.
The League says no reason was given for the threat, but the suspicious phone call comes just a day after the AFL publicly announced its support of the same sex marriage campaign.
Police confirmed the evacuation was just a precaution.
