Western Bulldogs draftee Ben Cavarra will miss the opening weeks of the AFL season, after suffering a quad injury last week.
Cavarra was scheduled to line up for Footscray in the VFL on Sunday, but missed the match due to quad tightness.
The 45th pick of the 2018 National Draft will now be sidelined for the next 2-3 weeks.
Laitham Vandermeer will miss at least the next month with a hamstring injury, while forward Tom Boyd and defender Jason Johannisen are progressing well in their recovery, and could return in the early stages of the home-and-away season.
