Melbourne star Jesse Hogan has been suspended for two games for striking Carlton defender Sam Rowe, meaning he will games against Geelong and Fremantle.
He risks a three game ban if he appeals and is unsuccessful.

Melbourne will also be without new recruit Jordan Lewis, after he received a three game ban from the Match Review Panel for his hit on Patrick Cripps, with his bad record impacting his sanction.
Lewis' hit was graded asย intentional conduct with medium impact to the head.
He risks a four-week ban if he appeals the suspension.

North Melbourne's Scott Thompson has also copped a ban, receiving a one-week suspension, with an early plea, for elbowing Patrick Dangerfield, with the incident assessed as intentional and low impact to the head.

Meanwhile, Roos teammate Braydon Preuss has copped a $1,000 fine for kneeing Jackson Thurlow in the back.

Sydney midfielder Zak Jones has received a $1,000 fine for a late bump on Travis Cloke.
Jones' hit was also gradedย as careless conduct with medium impact to the body, following an assessment of the medical report from the Western Bulldogs.
