The Kangaroos and Ben Brown are set to go their separate ways, with both parties agreeing to allow the star forward to explore his options elsewhere.

According to Channel 7 reporter Tom Browne, Brown and the club are likely to mutually part ways, with the out-of-contract forward heading for the exit along with 11 delisted players following Friday's culling.

Brown is likely to attract plenty of offers despite an underwhelming 2020 season, with the 27-year-old booting 186 goals in his prior three seasons at Arden Street.

It was also reported that Geelong will pursue Kangaroos star Shaun Higgins in the upcoming off-season as North Melbourne plan the next stage of their rebuild.

The Kangaroos will have two first-round draft selections heading into the off-season after acquiring Melbourne's opening election in last years trade period.
