Off-contract Sydney star Chad Warner has done little to alleviate the stress for Swans fans amid a pending call on his future, revealing the door isn't closed on a potential move back home to Western Australia.
Warner, who spent extra time in WA this week given his club's scheduled bye off the back of Sunday's win over Fremantle, was said to be closer to potentially extending his stay in the red and white for a further two seasons, with a deal from the Swans on the table.
The electric midfielder, who is expected to have significant interest from both Fremantle and West Coast, is still weighing up his future as he assesses whether to remain in the Harbour City or seek a move back to his home state.
Quizzed on his future by 10 News Perth, Warner he'll "keep my mind open" on his decision and that "nothing is closed" in regards to a switch to WA.
"To be honest, I'm not too sure," Warner said.
"Obviously (the Swans' offer) is there and that's something I've got to think about, but I've got a lot to weigh up.
"I enjoy my time back here (in Western Australia) a lot. I think it's going to be hard for me. That's why I want to keep my mind open and let the year play out.
"Nah (I haven't closed the door on a potential WA return), nothing is closed off."

Given Warner isn't eligible for free agency, any keen suitor will have to trade for the All-Australian onballer and appease Sydney should a trade request be lodged.
The Swans would likely demand multiple first-round selections in return for the 23-year-old, with West Coast best positioned given they hold their own opening selection for 2025 as well as Hawthorn's.
The Eagles' first pick is likely to fall ahead of Fremantle's as well, while the Dockers could be tangled in negotiations to lure reported trade target Kysaiah Pickett to Cockburn.
Clubs are able to trade 2027 draft selections this coming off-season as well as future selections for the 2026 intake.
