Adelaide's Luke Brown has been ruled out of Friday night's clash with St Kilda after the defender suffered a fractured cheekbone in last weeks loss to Geelong.
Brown copped an accidental knock to the face against the Cats, with Crows General Manager of High Performance Matt Hass saying the 24-year-old would miss 2-4 weeks with the injury.
“After investigation, it showed that there was a little crack in there that required surgery," Hass told the club's website.
“The prognosis for Browny is that we expect him back shortly after the (Round 13) bye.”
Despite spraining his ankle last week, Jake Lever is set to take his spot against the Saints with Hass saying the sprain was just a minor one.
“He (Lever) will train either with the main group today (Tuesday) or on his own tomorrow and we expect him to play this weekend.”
In further positive news for the Crows, Mitch McGovern and Paul Seedsman are also available for selection this week after recovering from long-term injuries.
“The boys (McGovern and Seedsman) have done an absolute mountain of work in recent times and have gotten themselves in really good shape,” Hass said.
“It’s really good news for the Club and we’re excited to see them back this weekend.”
The pair are likely to return through the SANFL this weekend.
