GWS will likely travel to Tasmania to face Hawthorn on Saturday without three key members of their side.

Forwards Toby Greene and Steve Johnson, and defender Zac Williams will likely all be unavailable due to niggling injuries.

Greene was a late withdrawal from the Giants' match against Geelong last Saturday night with an ankle injury, and he failed to train in GWS' main session on Wednesday.

Williams also missed Saturday's game with a hamstring injury and didn't participate in Wednesday's session, while Johnson's knee complaint kept him out of the main session as well.

The Giants will hit the track once more on Friday before making the trip down south, but coach Leon Cameron said unless the trio all can prove their fitness, none of them will play on the weekend.

"Toby's ankle has taken a bit longer than we thought it would which is disappointing," Cameron told reporters on Wednesday.

"It can turn around pretty quickly and if he trains on Friday then we'll play him, but you'd have to say he's a lesser chance to play this weekend.

"Steve is really sore, he's a big chance to miss as well with his knee and probably some general soreness.

"The game on the weekend took a fair bit out of him but in saying that he did present a bit better today.

"We're also mindful of how many games he can play in a row and the game was really brutal on the weekend, so he's 50/50 as well.

"Zac is probably in a better position in the other two but when you're dealing with a minor hamstring you have ask could he get back in nine or 10 days?

"It would be disappointing if all three couldn't get up but thatโ€™s the way it is."

With the trio all in doubt, Will Setterfield could be in line to make his Giants debut on Saturday, after he was selected with pick five in last year's national draft.

Setterfield has recovered from an early season ankle injury, and returned to the NEAFL last weekend with an impressive 31 possessions, 18 tackles and two goals.
