With clubs finalising their injury lists by Tuesday evening, we'll bring you all the latest news surrounding your club's casualty list ahead of Round 9.
Collingwood coach Craig McRae has confirmed that a host of stars will be out for the foreseeable future while a GWS midfielder was cleared of any serious ankle damage.
Growing concerns at Brisbane headquarters of the amount of anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injuries whilst an in-form Eagles pair will be absent for the upcoming weekend.
Here's the latest AFL injury news...
Brisbane has confirmed that Lincoln McCarthy and Darcy Gardiner will miss the remainder of the 2024 season having ruptured their anterior cruciate ligaments (ACL) in the win over Gold Coast on Sunday.
It's devastating news and everyone at the club is really thinking of Lincoln and Darcy,” Lions general manager football Danny Daly said.
“Linc and Diz are quality players and quality people who we know will do all that they can to overcome these injuries.
“We as a Club will continue to all wrap our arms around them and their families as we support them in whatever way we can during their recovery.”
Defender Brandon Starcevich will also miss a large chunk of football after injuring his calf before the Suns clash.
Starcevich is expected to miss at least a month of football.
Fellow backman Noah Answerth has entered concussion protocols and will be unavailable for Round 9.
The Pies will be without forwards Lachie Schultz (suspension), Beau McCreery (concussion) and Brody Mihocek (hamstring) for the clash with West Coast.
McCreery copped an errant knee to the head and entered the mandatory concussion protocols while McRae revealed Mihocek suffered a hamstring injury during the third term of Friday's win against Carlton.
Collingwood will also be without midfielder Tom Mitchell due to appendicitis while Jordan De Goey has officially been ruled out, with a hopeful return flagged as Round 10.
In-form forward Jamie Elliot will also be 'managed' throughout the week in the hope he'll face the Eagles, according to Channel 9's Tom Morris.
Young defender Tew Jiath picked up an ankle injury in the VFL and will be sidelined for at least 2-3 weeks.
Richmond is hopeful that injured trio Noah Balta, Dion Prestia and Jack Graham are all available for the Round 9 game against the Western Bulldogs.
Prestia has been absent from the side since the club's traditional Thursday night clash with Carlton in Round 1 while Balta hasn't been sighted since Round 3.
The experienced group will need to pass fitness tests to put their hand up for selection as young forward Jacob Bauer is also a chance after overcoming a hamstring injury.
Sydney has revealed that defender Tom McCartin is "feeling really good" after sustaining a concussion during the Sydney derby.
McCartin was collected by GWS forward Callum Brown, who has been suspended for three games for his ill-timed bump.
The 24-year-old has had a history of head knocks throughout his career and will be ruled out for at least this weekend's clash with Fremantle.
"He's feeling really good, which is a real positive. He wasn't knocked out during the actual incident so that's a relief for everyone and he can recall everything that happened, and he's pulled up well," Longmire said.
"His recollection is really clear and he can remember everything. That's all we can go on for the moment. He's obviously in the protocols and we'll follow that but he's feeling okay."
Gold Coast veteran Brandon Ellis was managed from last week's VFL game and is expected to be available for selection.
Teammate Oskar Faulkhead injured himself during the reserves game, coming down with an ankle injury.
Faulkhead could miss up to eight weeks after undergoing surgery while Malcolm Rosas (hamstring, five weeks) and Lachie Weller (knee, 11 weeks) are still on the sidelines.
Giants midfielders Tom Green and Stephen Coniglio are likely to face Essendon on Saturday, pending they pass fitness tests.
Green - who was subbed from the ground with an ankle injury - was cleared of any major damage and is still a chance to feature this weekend.
Coniglio is also expected to put his hand up for selection, making a return from a knee injury he sustained in Round 5.
However, the news isn't as good for defender Isaac Cumming, who suffered a hamstring injury in the VFL.
Cumming has had a frustrating start to the year with a constant calf issue keeping him from the senior side before the hamstring was another blow to his return.
Veteran defender Adam Kennedy suffered a minor setback from his return from an ACL, sustaining a hamstring injury during training.
Brisbane is staring down the barrel of losing two more players for the remainder of the 2024 season, with Lincoln McCarthy and Darcy Gardiner suffering from suspected ACL injuries.
Despite the courageous win against the Suns in the QClash, Chris Fagan is likely to lose the forward pair for a lengthy period while Brandon Starcevich (calf) and Noah Answerth (concussion) have their own injury troubles.
With it yet to be confirmed, the likely ACL injuries to Gardiner and McCarthy will take the number to five (Will Ashcroft, Tom Doedee and Keidean Coleman) in the past six months.
Tough midfielder Tom Liberatore has entered concussion protocols for the second time in a month.
During the loss to Hawthorn, Liberatore copped a knock to the head and has subsequently been ruled out of the Round 9 clash with Richmond.
The club has taken a conservative approach given the seriousness of this injury and has ruled out the 31-year-old 'indefinitely'.
