The Western Bulldogs are likely to lose utility pairing James Harmes and Laitham Vandermeer for at least the coming week due to separate hamstring injuries.
Harmes was subbed out of the game in the opening term after coming from the field and requiring medical treatment in the rooms.
The Bulldogs activated their tactical sub swiftly, with signs suggesting the damage done to Harmes' hamstring could be significant.
Vandermeer had ice on his hamstring before half-time following a fresh setback for the young Bulldog in what was the second blow for the night for coach Luke Beveridge.
The Bulldogs coach revealed tall Rory Lobb was dealing with a back injury in the second half as well, but with two men down on the interchange decided to see out the three-goal win.
"We're hoping they're on the lower end of severity," Beveridge said of Harmes and Vandermeer post-game.
"We'll send them to radiology and get back to you when we know more.
"'Lobby' had a tight back, but had three-quarter time he said 'I want to stay out there'. We needed him to stay out there.
"It was really important for the team that he did. Other than that I think we're pretty good."
Harmes' hamstring concern is the fourth of its kind for the ex-Demon in the past three seasons, while Vandermeer has dealt with an extensive run of soft tissue and other injury matters during his time at the Kennel.
According to 7 News reporter Mitch Cleary, Harmes' injury could be "a proper strain" and see the Dogs midfielder sidelined through to the club's post-bye return in Round 16, while the club is hoping Vandermeer's is less serious.
"[Harmes' injury] is the more serious of the two," Cleary told the broadcast after the game.
"A proper strain, you'd think he'll miss the two games against Brisbane and Fremantle. Luckily enough they've got the bye after that, so it might come at a good time for James Harmes.
"The other one was Laitham Vandermeer, I think that one is more on the minor end. Maybe a week, potentially a little longer.
"He has had a history of soft-tissue injuries, but not as serious as James Harmes'."
Beveridge said the Dogs are hoping to have midfield duo Tom Liberatore and Ed Richards back following recent concussion concerns for next Friday's clash with Brisbane, while forward Anthony Scott is an outside chance to be cleared as he too works his way through concussion protocols.
The Bulldogs could have recruit Nick Coffield back in the selection mix in the coming weeks after battling a shoulder injury to start life at his second club.
Beveridge's side return to Marvel Stadium for their next two games against Brisbane and Fremantle prior to their Round 15 bye.
