West Coast veteran Mark LeCras has called time on his career.
The premiership player informed West Coast officials yesterday the 2018 Grand Final would be his last game.
LeCras said it was the right time to call curtains on his career.
“I have had a couple of weeks to think about it, discuss it with my family and the club and it just feels like the right time," LeCras told the club website.
“I couldn’t be happier after playing in a winning grand final with so many blokes who will be mates for the rest of my life. The last few weeks have been something really special and I’ll never forget the feeling when the final siren sounded.
“I was starting to wonder whether I’d ever get the chance to experience the elation that I have heard so many other players talk about. It’s everything they said and a little more.”
Selected with pick 37 in the 2004 National Draft, LeCras made his debut in 2005.
He struggled to cement his place in the Eagles side in his first two seasons and was not part of the 2005 and 2006 grand finals.
The small forwards best season was in 2010 when he kicked 63 goals in 21 games and was selected in the All-Australian team.
In 2018, LeCras became the 20th West Coast player to reach 200 games.
LeCras ends his career on 219 games and 441 goals.
