The AFL's 2025 Gather Round fixture has seemingly been released, with a "likely" schedule set to descend on Adelaide in April next year, kicking off with a contest between Adelaide and Geelong on Thursday.

Coinciding with school holidays on 10-13 April, all 18 AFL sides will head to South Australia for an action-packed long weekend, with games played at Adelaide Oval, Barossa Valley and Norwood Oval.

According to Channel 9's Tom Morris, the schedule for the weekend's nine games has been revealed.

Next year's version of the festival of footy will welcome a new venue, with the state showcasing the Barossa Valley for two clashes.

North Melbourne and Gold Coast will be the first clubs to walk out from the Barossa club rooms on Saturday while Shai Bolton will face his old side (Richmond) at the same ground the following day.

Collingwood and Sydney will play the Friday night primetime slot at the Adelaide Oval.

Matt Owies will take on his former teammates as the Eagles and Blues do battle on Saturday afternoon.

Port Adelaide and Hawthorn will renew their fiery history with a contest to complete the weekend, with all eyes set for the highly-anticipated semi-final rematch.

The AFL is expected to release the exact times next week.

More to come.
