Gold Coast is set to be granted its wish of landing Richmond star Daniel Rioli as the club looks to add dare in its back half.
After intense negotiations, the Tigers are expected to land Picks 6 and 23 for the services of Rioli, who was crowned the club's best in 2024.
The 27-year-old will reunite with coach Damien Hardwick at the Suns, bringing speed and skill to the finals-less club.
Gold Coast currently have their fingers in multiple pies, also dealing with Collingwood - and Port Adelaide - in a three-club trade that will likely see the Queensland club land John Noble.
If the deal - which has hit a snag in the road - goes through, Jack Lukosius and Rory Atkins will join the Power.
The Suns' position has been consistent throughout the trade period, targeting specific needs in Rioli and Noble to improve their chances of playing in September.
They also wanted to rid themselves of any first-round selections - hence the deal with the Tigers - but secure enough draft points to ensure academy prospect Leo Lombard lands at the club.
Gold Coast list manager Craig Cameron also had an eye on next year's draft which will see another crop of academy prospects come through the ranks, headed by Zeke Uwland (brother of Bodhi).
Getting Atkins and Lukosius off their books could open the door for a play at Richmond legend Dustin Martin.
The Suns currently hold Picks 6, 13, 23, 29, 41, 50 and 78, but, with the above deals pending and potentially going through, they'll be left with 41, 50 and 78.
Gold Coast could also hold Port Adelaide and Collingwood's 2025 first-round picks, but once again, pending the other trade.
Once the Rioli trade goes through, Richmond will hold a draft hand of 1, 6, 14, 20, 23 and 24.
