Brisbane ruck-forward Tom Fullarton is reportedly seeking a trade to Melbourne to be Max Gawn's backup in 2024.

At 24 years of age and 200cm, Fullarton is a key position player taken as a Category B rookie midway through the 2018 season and has played 19 games, averaging 9.1 disposals and kicking 6 goals.
With the Lions having the reliable and almost ever-present Oscar McInerny, not to mention twin talls Joe Daniher and Eric Hipwood in the forward line, opportunities have been few and far between for Fullarton.
With Brodie Grundy leaving the Demons for a better opportunity at Sydney, a backup for Max Gawn has been a priority and Fullarton fits their needs exactly, both as a backup ruckman and a tall who can play forward.
