Brisbane Lions midfielder Deven Robertson has undergone surgery for a broken wrist which he played with during the Lions' Grand Final loss.
Roberston suffered the injury in the preliminary final win against Carlton, though the extent of the injury wasn't clear until a post-season medical.
He underwent surgery last week for the injury, which was revealed as a scaphoid fracture and he will be in a wrist brace over the next month, according to Callum Twomey of AFL.com.au.
Robertson still had 13 disposals and kicked one goal in the Lions' four-point loss to Collingwood in the Grand Final.
The 22-year-old recently re-signed with Lions on a new two-year deal, knocking back interest from rival clubs and with the prospect of returning home to Western Australia.
Robertson was recruited from Perth and debuted in 2020. He has played 41 games for the Lions and has kicked 10 goals. He played 16 games this season and was pivotal in their success in September this year.
His injury isn't likely to delay his pre-season campaign due to the Lions' longer break from playing in the Grand Final.
