Brisbane has confirmed that Allen Christensen will be sidelined for eight to 10 weeks after breaking his collarbone at training late last week.

It is the same collarbone the former Geelong player broke in round 11 last year against Carlton.

Jono Freeman, who played four games last season, has undergone surgery to repair a fractured cheekbone which was sustained at training and will miss four to six weeks.

Meanwhile, the news is better for Josh Schache, who suffered a low-grade medial ligament strain at training. Schache will miss the remainder of the JLT Community Series, but is expected to be available for round one.
