The National Draft is almost here, with all 18 AFL clubs now having a strong idea of the prospects on offer and the spots where they may fall.

Every club has their own list needs and voids to fill, some looking toward key position talent while others are hoping to add to their midfield.

The 'best available' avenue is open to every club, but many instead look to find answers to some of their biggest list questions through the draft.

Here we look at the ideal prospect for every club when they enter the draft in what would be a dream scenario for most clubs.

11. Melbourne

Mattaes Phillipou

Position: Midfielder/Forward
State: South Australia
State League Club: Woodville-West Torrens
Community Club: PHOS Camden
Date of Birth: 27/12/04
Height: 190cm
Weight: 89kg

It now seems unlikely Phillipou will be on the table for the Demons to claim when they enter the draft at Pick 13.

Phillipou's stocks have significantly risen in recent weeks, with the South Australian now seen as a strong chance to land in opening five picks.

That's not to say Melbourne are no chance, with the Demons having looked to move into the opening few spots in the queue with their first-round pick and future selections on offer.

It's a strategy that's paid off for the Demons in recent years, having traded up to secure Clayton Oliver in 2015 and Kysaiah Pickett in 2019.
