Gold Coast rookie Bailey Humphrey has added a further four years to his contract at the Suns, with the eight-gamer now penned to the Queensland club until the end of 2028.
The No.6 pick from last year's National Draft, Humphrey has been among the Suns' best performers across the past month to cement his place in Stuart Dew's squad.
Humphrey made his debut in Round 4 and has featured in every match since, averaging 13.38 disposals, 2.25 tackles, 2.75 inside 50s and 0.75 goals per game, where three have come as Humphrey either being the tactical sub or subbed out of the game.
The 18-year-old earned a Rising Star nomination for Round 6 and has since been a shining light for the Suns as they a finals berth in 2023.
Originally signed until the end of 2024 on his rookie contract, Humphrey has signed-on for a further four seasons with the Suns.
“I am so excited to sign with the Suns long-term and continue my career on the Gold Coast,” Humphrey said in a club statement.
“The SUNS have been unbelievable at helping me settle into my new home and I've honestly loved every minute of being at this club.
“The people are so genuine, I love my teammates, I love my coaches, and that's why I've signed on. I wouldn't want to be anywhere else to be honest.”
A product out of Moe in regional eastern Victoria, Humphrey will play his ninth AFL game this weekend when the Suns host Adelaide at TIO Stadium on Saturday night.
