Delisted GWS midfielder Cooper Hamilton has landed with Victorian local club Rochester for the 2025 season in the Goulburn Valley Football Netball League.

Hamilton, known for his exploits with the Giants' social media team, departed the New South Wales club at the cessation of the 2024 season after not being offered a new contract.

The 21-year-old, who joined the Giants via the 2021 Rookie Draft, tallied eight AFL games in his three seasons with the club, which was heavily impacted by injury.

Hamilton also played 21 VFL games for GWS and is expected to find a new home at the state league level next year also.

He will balance his time between the VFL and with Rochester, who announced the addition of Hamilton on Thursday.

"Cooper has been playing with Greater Western Sydney for the past 3 seasons and is now heading homeward to join brothers Wil and Hugh at Rochy between his VFL commitments.

"We are so excited to welcome Cooper to the Rochy family for season 2025."

Rochester finished third on the GVFNL ladder in 2024 with 13 wins from 18 matches before bowing out of finals in the penultimate week of the season against Shepparton.
