St Kilda’s Ben Long has had his one-match ban upheld by the AFL Tribunal on Monday night.
He was charged for a dangerous bump on Bulldog Jackson Macrae in Saturday's elimination final clash at the Gabba.
The MRO graded the incident as medium impact with careless conduct and high contact, resulting in a one-match suspension, with the Saints challenging the charge at the Tribunal.
But St Kilda's attempts to have the ban overturned have been unsuccessful, meaning Long will miss Friday night's semi-final clash against Richmond.
His suspension is a major blow for St Kilda, with Patrick Ryder (hamstring) and Jake Carlisle (personal) also being forced omissions this week.
