Fremantle Dockers big man Rory Lobb has been rumoured to be on the move away from the club in recent weeks, with Victorian clubs and most recently, Gold Coast, noted as potential destinations come season's end.

However, Dockers coach Justin Longmuir has been quick to shut down any rumours of any sort.

Lobb still has two years remaining on his current deal at Fremantle worth a reported $700,000 per season, which would make any sort of trade for the 28-year old difficult.

Speaking on SEN’s Dwayne’s WorldLongmuir said Lobb remains a "vital part" of the football club.

“It’s obviously disappointing to be out there. Rory’s in a totally different situation to (Adam Cerra). Rory’s got two years left on his contract,” Longmuir said.

“We see him as a vital part of our football club and we’ll work with him as best we can to make sure he feels like a valued part of our football club.

“That’s probably where it’s at in my mind. He’s got two years to go, he’s a wanted player and that’s where it sits for me.”
